2. Realme U1

The Realme U1 comes with a plastic body with a laminated back, which looks very appealing. It also has a tiny 'dewdrop' notch and slim bezels on the sides. The phone supports dual 4G VoLTE and there's a dedicated slot for a microSD card too. The phone is powered by a MediaTek Helio P70 SoC, which offers very good app and gaming performance. ColorOS 5.2 (upgradeable to ColorOS 6.0) also feature two new apps called ORoaming and Smart Scan, which are handy. The front 25-megapixel camera captures detailed selfies in daylight but struggles in low light. It's the same for the rear camera too. 3. Redmi Y3

PRICE- ₹9,999*
Redmi recently launched the Redmi Y3 smartphone in India as replacements for the Redmi Y2. Xiaomi introduced the Y-series a couple of years ago targeted at the youth and selfie lovers, and the latest iteration boasts of a 32-megapixel selfie camera, which seems quite impressive for a phone that costs Rs. 9,999. However, the Redmi Y3 does have a best in class selfie camera but it also lacks in various other aspects such as performance as it gets Snapdragon 632 and in this price range you can get even better than that. Ultimately it is a selfie centric smartphone.

4. SAMSUNG GALAXY M20

PRICE- ₹9,990*
The Samsung Galaxy M20 is Samsung's attempt to take on Redmi, Realme, Honor, and Asus in the fiercely competitive low-cost market. It offers specifications that are good enough to match these rivals, plus a very modern all-screen look with a waterdrop-style notch. The Exynos 7904 processor was designed specifically for the value segment in India, and works quite well. The display is of 6.3 inch which is large and crisp, and battery life is very good as it gets the massive 5000 mAh battery which will easily last for two days in normal usage. However cameras are just mediocre although it gets dual rear cameras 13 + 5 MP whereas the secondary camera is a wide angle camera which actually seems to be usable in front of those depth sensor ones. The Galaxy M20 will appeal to Samsung fans who are looking for great value.

5. Redmi 7

PRICE- ₹8,999*
The Redmi 7 is an all-rounder that doesn't have any one major headlining feature, but it does well at nearly everything. The 6.26-inch HD+ screen is immersive and will make media and games look good, even if it isn't the best. The 4000 mAh battery is more than enough to get you through a full day. The Qualcomm Snapdragon 632 SoC perform quite well with day to day applications. The cameras are serviceable, and the rear 12-megapixel primary camera impressed us in daylight shots, but low-light performance was weak. Redmi also continues to stuff its MIUI skin and its own apps with ads, which can get very annoying.
